Departments to get cameras at crime photography class

Twelve regional law enforcement agencies will leave three-day Andalusia training class this week with $1,400 worth of photography equipment each.
The class is sponsored by Homeland Security and set for the Andalusia’s Wilbur Williams Law Enforcement Training facility. Participating agencies include police departments from Andalusia, Florala, Enterprise, Greenville, Luverne, Brewton, Monroeville, Prattville, Geneva and DeFuniak Springs, as well as the sheriff’s departments from Escambia and Butler counties.
The hands-on training class is designed to teach officers how to document crime scenes, accident scenes and all aspects of police photography. The instructor is employed at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glenco, Ga.
