Today is Mardi Gras day, also known as “Fat Tuesday,” the last feast day before Lent, the most somber season of the Christian calendar. Traditionally, Christians feasted before beginning the 40-day fasting period of Lent.

In observance, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will hold a pancake supper tonight from 5:30 until 7 in the Parish Hall. Cost is $5.
