Troy Brown and Scott Brown, owners of the Zaxby’s slated to open in Andalusia this summer, expect to employ 30 to 40 people when they open the doors of the chicken finger and Buffalo wing restaurant.

Scott Brown said candidates interested in employment at the “quick casual” restaurant can pick up and return applications at the two mailboxes set up outside the new location at 1000 River Falls St. near the Covington Mall.

“The key to success at Zaxby’s is a great smile and a willingness to learn and grow,” said Scott Brown. “We’re a different kind of restaurant with a different kind of attitude — from the food and service we provide to our customers to the respect we have for each other.”

The new 3,652-square-foot location will seat 72.

The new restaurant will be the the 67th for Alabama. Zaxby’s currently operates more than 575 locations in 13 states — Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
