I would like to take this opportunity and personally thank everyone who was involved with making 59 Minutes: The Weak End a success. Two years ago when I proposed this project to the Covington County Children’s Policy Council it was only a dream. Last week, the hard work of so many people and businesses made my dream a reality. I’ve said from the beginning that if we impacted one child with the message we gave it would be enough. The total number of individuals who came to the event was somewhere near 500. I had projected only 200. We were capable of providing a local food bank with over 300 cans of food/non-perishable food items. To me, that is a success.

I am writing this letter to thank all the businesses and individuals who participated or offered their assistance. Those are: Covington Casket Company, Andalusia Flower and Gift, Howell’s Nursery, Palmer & Sons, Brooks Hardware, Lester’s Auto Salvage, Foreman’s Funeral Home, WFXX, WAAO, Andalusia Star News, Mr. Jim Walker, Judge Charles A. Short, Chief ADA Grace M. Jeter, ADA Emmett Massey, ADA Paul Adams, CCB Community Bank, Advanced EMS, Mr. Eddie Rowell, Mr. Jason Ruth, Mr. Neal Dansby and the Covington County Kiwanis, Mrs. Erin Wilson, Mrs. Hannah Hattaway, Mr. and Mrs. Cody Warren, Mrs. Laurie Dean, Mrs. Ashley Morgan, and Coach Bradshaw, of Pleasant Home School.

I especially want to thank a few special individuals who dedicated many long hours of practice, hard work, and dedication to the project. They are: Tyler Wise, Emily Thomasson, Kaitlyn Brookshire, Zoe Birk, Jake Mahon, Steffanie French, Jakelyn Carter, Shelby Bradshaw, and Lt. Paul Hudson. Also, thank you to all of those who came out to be extras. I did not get each of your names but I do appreciate your help.

Finally a huge thank you to Chief Wilbur Williams, the Andalusia Police Department employees, and my family. For offering your advice, assistance, and helping guide me throughout this project while encouraging me to do my best. I look forward to continuing my work with the Andalusia Police Department and with the Covington County Children’s Policy Council Coalition. Working together we can make this world a better place for our children.
