Andalusia ranked in poll

Andalusia found itself in the top 10 of the Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 4A baseball poll, which was released today.
The Bulldogs improved to 16-6 with a 4-3 victory over Stanhope Elmore at the Best of the Best Tournament in Troy.
AHS fell earlier in the tournament to top-ranked Charles Henderson 7-5; and UMS-Wright 5-4.
AHS is traveling to play in the 2013 Pounder Invitational in Chattanooga, Tenn., today.
The Bulldogs will start out this afternoon playing against Morristown, Tenn., at Hixon High School at 4 p.m.
On Friday, AHS will face Polk County at HHS at 3 p.m.
The last day of the tournament will be on Saturday, where the Bulldogs will play Cleveland at 10 a.m., and HHS at 12:15 p.m.
In the Class 3A baseball poll, Opp fell to No. 9 after falling to top-ranked W.S. Neal 6-0 in its spring break tournament on Tuesday.
The Lady Bobcats, now 12-3, remain at No. 9 in their poll.
Pleasant Home is at the No. 4 sport in the Class 1A softball poll.
