Commissioners voted Monday to advertise in the Business Alabama magazine.
County Administrator Brenda Petty said the Birmingham-based trade magazine plans to spotlight Covington County in its April edition.
“I know that Opp and Andalusia have already committed, and they’ve asked us to join in,” Petty said. “I think it’s a good opportunity for us to jointly promote our area.”
Commissioners agreed to join with Andalusia and Opp and voted to spend $715 to cover the county’s portion of the advertising cost.
The magazine has a circulation of 15,000 and is distributed to members of the Business Council of Alabama, the Alabama Legislature, county economic development directors statewide, Birmingham area hotels, statewide bookstores and industry associations.
