Second-ranked Andalusia beat Ashford 71-59 on the road in area action on Tuesday night.

Jacard Townsend led the Bulldogs with 25 points. Corinthian Sims added 19 points, and Justin Dooley had 11 points.

For Ashford, James Gardner led the Yellow Jackets with 15 points, and Raphael Albarado contributed with 13 points.

Andalusia improves to 19-2 overall, and 3-0 in Class 4A, Area 3. The Bulldogs are the only undefeated team in their area.

They will take a much-needed break, and will face rival Straughn in area play next Tues., Jan. 18 at SHS.

In girls action, the ninth-ranked Lady Bulldogs beat the Lady Yellow Jackets 66-32. The girls improve to 15-4 overall, and 3-0 in the area.
