Straughn hosts Ashford

Straughn and Ashford will square off in area action tonight, as the Yellow Jackets pay a visit to the Jungle.
The Tigers are coming off a 62-26 loss to rival Andalusia Tuesday, and will be facing an Ashford team that is 14-5 on the season.
SHS boys coach Rusty Andrews said he knows that Ashford will bring a lot of “size” to the table.
“All I know about them is that they’re very big,” Andrews said. “We’re going to have to play a methodical, slow-down game to have a chance.”
Andrews said rebounding and limiting possessions are the two main keys.
“We’re just going to have to do a better job rebounding offensively and defensively, and take care of the ball,” he said.
Additionally, Andrews said it will take a “total team effort” to be able to pull out a win.
Tip off tonight in Straughn is around 7 p.m.
