Brantley showed Billingsley why it is No. 1 in Class 1A with a 48-0 thrashing Friday night in the second round of the playoffs.
This was the Bulldogs’ eighth shut out of the season.
BHS got on board early with a 32-yard touchdown pass from Bulldogs quarterback Andrew Lowery to Otis Guice.
The Bulldog offense capitalized in the turnover on an Andrew Parker 16-yard touchdown run to put the Bears down 14-0 at the 3:19 mark of the first quarter.
While Brantley defense made the going tough for Billingsley, the Bulldogs’ offense would go on to score on their next three possessions of the half on runs of 4 and 10 yards by Parker, and a 68-yard touchdown pass from Lowery to Howard.
On a Parker 3-yard touchdown run, his fourth of the game, the Bulldogs had 41-0 third quarter lead.
The Bulldogs offense would find the end zone one last time on the night on a Brandon Walker 8-yard touchdown run to make the final score 48-0.
