Tools needed for Dream Park renovation

Tools are needed for the Dream Park renovation.
Organizer Kristy White said the group guarantees the tools will be returned “in as good or better condition as we received them” or the tools will be replaced.
White said the group has set funds aside for replacement and repair of the tools and they will be using their own drill and router bits and saw blades.
In addition, the group has hired 24-hour security for the tool trailer, she said.
The following is a list of tools needed with the quantity:
• 1 Table saw: 10”or 12” w/ new rip blade
• 2 Slide compound miter saws
• 2 Power miter boxes
• 1 Sledge: small, 3-5 lbs.
• 1 Bar: steel digging, 6’ or longer
• 1 Bobcat: small bucket loader
• 15 Paint brushes: 1/4” to 3”
• 2 Scrub brushes: regular household type
• 10 Buckets: 5 gallon
• 6 C-clamps, large: openings larger than 4”, at least 2 should open 8” or more
• 2 Clamps, pipe or bar: 4’ to 8’ long
• 20 Cans: coffee cans, plastic jugs, etc.
• 2 Cat’s paws: small 8” to 10” bars w/ one curved end
• 1 Caulk
• 1 Chain: 20 foot, steel w/ hooks on each end (tow chain)
• 2 Chalk lines: with extra chalk
• 1 Chisel set: 1/4” to 1 1/2”
• 2 Crowbars: steel pry bars
• 3+ “Wonder Bars”
• 5 Impactor drills
• 65 Drills: 3/8”, variable-speed, reversible, able to drill through 2” lumber & drive screws. Tape chuck keys to cords on all drills; have extra chuck keys on hand. Need at least 10 cordless drills. Need 2 batteries and charger for each.
• 2 Drills: 1/2”, extra heavy-duty, reversible
• 1 Drill press, 3/4 h.p.
• 10 Electrical splitters: two-way and three-way
• 60 Pairs of work gloves: heavy cotton, half should be for small hands
• 6 Grinders, side: 4 1/2” or 5”
• 1 Pickaxe
• 20 Hammers, carpentry: 16-, 20-, or 22-ounce
• 1 Hammer, sledge: 8-12 lb.
• 10 Hardhats
• 1 Megaphone
• 30 Nail aprons
• 5 Nail punches
• 1 Pickup truck: used to “go for…” and to move materials, 3/4 ton or 1-ton preferred
• 1 Pipe cutter
• 2 Port-a-johns
• 5 Post-hole diggers
• 20 lbs. of Rags
Anyone interested in loaning tools is asked to send in a form to WAAO, the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce or LBW Community College.
Tool check-in will be held Oct. 16 and Oct. 17, and tools may be picked up Oct. 25.
