Lady Tigers fall to Kinston

Despite losing to fourth-ranked Kinston Thursday night in varsity volleyball action, the Straughn Lady Tigers made the Lady Bulldogs earn their win.
Straughn lost the match 22-25, 11-25, 23-25, and head coach Lori Kinsaul said she couldn’t be any more proud of the girls.
Straughn’s Tori Bracewell had three aces, eight service points and five digs; Katie Beck had two aces, five service points, two digs and two kills; Brooke Harris contributed with two aces, four service points, seven assists, one block and three kills; Megan Johns had one ace, three service points, two blocks and four kills; Kaitlynn Wiggins had one service point, seven digs and two kills; Katie Hardage had one service point and two digs; Paige Caraway had two blocks and one kill and Laura Stephens had one assist, one dig and two kills.
In junior varsity action, Kinston won 25-11, 25-11.
Straughn will host Opp Tues., Sept. 28 at 4 p.m.
