After LSU’s Tyrann Mathieu was dismissed from the Tigers’ college football team, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit picked Alabama to win the SEC Championship this season.
Al.com reports that Herbstreit picked the Crimson Tide to beat Georgia in Atlanta.
“We’re kind of in an either-or situation with Alabama and LSU,” Herbstreit said in the article. “They are so much better than everybody else.”
Herbstreit liked LSU to win the SEC until Mathieu was dismissed from the team last week.
Later in the article, Herbstreit talked about Alabama’s defense and what the back up players for C.J. Mosley, Andalusia native Nico Johnson and Adrian Hubbard look like and how they’ll be able to fill the rolls needed on a rotation basis.
