A Montgomery man is custody after leading law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit down U.S. Hwy. 331 Wednesday.
Opp Police Chief Nicky Carnley said officers attempted to pull over Eljoray Leo Lewis, 26, for a minor traffic violation at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Lewis, who was traveling on a motorcycle, took off southbound at speeds in excess of 100 mph. Units from Opp and the Covington County Sheriff’s Office followed in pursuit.

He is being charged with two counts of attempting to elude a law enforcement officer; aggravated speeding; reckless driving; a red light violation; driving with a revoked license; improper lane usage; failure to display insurance and reckless endangerment.
