Davis and Sams concentrate on making their portion look amazing.

Who better to illustrate the ‘School Days of Covington County’ than area students? No one, according to members of the Andalusia Tourism and Relocation Committee who recently sponsored a contest for the mural on the side of the local Dairy Queen. Students competed in three categories – essay, poster or artwork. There were 12 students chosen as top winners in each of the elementary, middle and high school categories – Kelsi Scruggs, Hampton Glenn, Heather Sams, Andrew Davis, Cassidy Godwin, Robert Morris, Charles Lee, Jamie Spann, Hunter Wiley, Chris Mullins, Cayleigh Stacks and Mayur V. Patel.

Scruggs, Glenn, Sams and Davis were on hand Wednesday putting their works in paint.
