MARY COOPER LACEY
Mary Cooper Lacey, 85, of Red Level, passed away at her home June 29, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sun., July 1, at New Hope Independent Baptist Church, Old Hwy 55 in Red Level, with the Rev. Keith Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends beginning at 1 p.m. at church Sunday.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Cindy Brown) Lacey of Pace, Fla.; her daughter, Shirley (Robin Earl) Morgon of Enterprise; her brother, Randolph (Rebecca) Cooper of Moss Point, Miss.; her sister, Voncille Harrelson of Red Level; and her sister-in-law, Glendora Cooper. She is also survived by five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her niece, Faye Harrelson; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family also wishes to acknowledge caregivers, Fredy Walker, Sharon Cobb and Ann She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Joseph Lacey; her brother, Sam Cooper Jr.; her nephew, Jerry Harrelson; and her parents, George Sam Cooper and Nellie Rochelle Matthews Cooper.
Pallbearers will be her nephews – Tim Cooper, Scott Cooper, Danny Cooper, Jimmy Harrelson, Steven Harrelson and Mike Harrelson Jr.

EVELYN CHAVERS GANUS
Evelyn Chavers Ganus, 94, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., June 27, 2012, in Dothan.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Sat., June 30, at Adellum Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastors Ed Ganus and Randy Kelley officiating and Sunset Funeral Home directing.
The family requests no flowers but memorial donations may be made to Adellum Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 386, Andalusia, AL 36420.
She was born Oct. 27, 1917, in the Adellum Community. She grew up in Adellum, but lived her adult life in Andalusia. She married James Elton Ganus in 1936. They celebrated 69 years of marriage at his death in 2005. She owned Evelyn’s Flowers in Andalusia for 36 years. She enjoyed flowers, people and life. She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vallie Lee Hare Chavers and Henry Allen Chavers; her brothers, B.E. Chavers, Buddy Chavers, Mutt Chavers, Maurice Chavers and Guy Chavers; grandson, Chris Still; and great-grandson, Holt Rowland.
Survivors include her children, J. Don (Barbara) Ganus of Blackshear, Ga., Patricia (Joe) Whitehurst of Andalusia and Cheryl (Ken) Still of Dothan; brothers, Elon Chavers of Andalusia, A.G. Chavers of Pensacola, Fla., Bobby Chavers of Pace, Fla., and Henry Allan Chavers Jr., Homer Chavers and Vernon Chavers, all of Evergreen; a sister, Dottie Salter of Bowling Green, Ky.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
