Zack Stinson threw a three-hitter in Covington County’s 7-2 victory over Luverne on Friday night in the 16-18 State Babe Ruth Tournament at Crum Foshee Field in Andalusia.

Stinson struck out six batters and allowed two runs in seven innings to get the win.

Covington County scored two runs in the fourth, and Stinson hit a three-run double in the fifth to help the county break the game wide open.

Jordan Walker, Rhett Cook, Colter Herrington, Jud Owens and Stinson had one hit each for CC.

Covington County will play Mobile 16 at 4 p.m tomorrow.
