Opp City Schools Superintendent Michael Smithart received an outstanding evaluation “for a young superintendent,” officials said.
John Osborne, one of five people statewide certified to conduct superintendent’s evaluations, said that Smithart had two exemplary strengths that stood out to him – his included ability to communicate in both oral and written form and his thorough instructional assessment and holistic evaluation of the operations of Opp City Schools.
Obsorne said that Smithart, like most superintendents needed growth in the area of collobration.
He said stated that Smithart also needed to improve in the area of problem solving. Smithart scored 49 out of 52 possible points.
