A DeKalb County man is dead and another charged after what authorities believe was a dispute over stolen chickens turned fatal.

Authorities have charged 62-year-old Wayne Thomas McMinn with murder when Rickey R. McCallie was found shot to death Monday.

Authorities say McMinn and McCallie had an “ongoing dispute” over stolen chickens.

McMinn is being held without bond in the DeKalb County Detention Center.
