For the second time in less than a week, a manhunt is under way for an Andalusia man – this time in connection with a Monday night stabbing in the Gantt area.
The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. at a home on Wheeler Road, where Brian Mc-Clellan, 52, is accused of stabbing 33-year-old Dickie Lambert in the lower left abdomen area.
Chief Deputy David Anderson said Lambert was air lifted from the Gantt Lake boat ramp to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery for treatment. As of Tuesday afternoon, Lambert remained in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Alcohol is believed to have contributed to the incident, officials said.
Anderson said McClellan fled the scene and remains at large. He is described as a 5-foot-9-inch white male with brown hair and blue eyes, weighing approximately 203 pounds.
Those with information of McClellan’s whereabouts should call 911.
Deputies, as well as other area law enforcement, were called out Friday to a shooting on Antioch Road that left one man injured and another on the run. The alleged shooter, 49-year-old Arthur Lucal Jr. of Andalusia, was apprehended at the scene several hours after the shooting occurred. Lucal, who was charged with attempted murder and failure to register as a multiple felon, was later released on a $275,000 bond.
