An Andalusia man is behind bars after he was arrested for his role in a small riot at McDonald’s Friday night.

Andalusia Police Department investigator Sgt. Jason Curry said officers were dispatched to McDonald’s on the West Bypass around 11:30 p.m., June 8, when McD-onald’s staff requ-ested officers help clear the lobby.

Curry said employees reported there were a large number of people in the building, and they believed they were fighting in the restroom.

Once officers arrived on scene the fast food restaurant was cleared.

“Officers returned to the parking lot to find some of those individuals were fighting in the parking lot,” Curry said.

At the time, officers arrested Lexius Bradley on charges of disorderly conduct and inciting a riot, Curry said.

“Bradley was placed in handcuffs and was sat on the curb,” he said. “Officers were greatly outnumbered, and with several other fights taking place in the parking lot — and at the same time officers, in an attempt to restore peace and to protect the public and themselves — left Bradley seated on the curb and attempted to stop other fighting.”

Curry said while officers were attempting to break up the fight, Bradley ran from the scene still in handcuffs.

Arrest warrants were then obtained for Bradley for disorderly conduct, inciting riot, escape III, resisting arrest and theft of property III.

Bradley was taken into custody Wednesday morning without incident and was arrested on those charges.

Bradley was booked into the Covington County Jail on a $22,000 bond.
