Covington County softball players from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s are invited to come “reminisce” about good times this Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Stanley Community, off U.S. Hwy. 55 past the Stanley Old School.
“We’re having a softball reunion for those that played in the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s,” reunion organizer William Dewrell said. “We just want to get together and see everybody we’ve played with and have a reunion.
“We hope for a good turnout,” he said.
Dewrell said the reunion is free and food will be provided.
“We’re cooking 20-25 Boston butts, 75-80 quarters of chicken and Snowden link sausage,” he said.
Those attending can bring their own drink and a folding chair if desired.
If there is inclement weather, the reunion will be held in the Butler building.
