‘Most wanted’ check writer jailed

Another of the Covington County District Attorney’s office worthless check unit’s Top 10 bad check writers has been captured.
Max Smith, an investigator in the DA’s office, said that 46-year-old Ray Michael Blocker, of Elba, who was wanted for 12 warrants on bad checks was in the Coffee County Jail.
“We put a hold on him and had him transferred here,” Smith said.
Blocker owed some $6,036.60 in court costs associated with his alleged bad checks.
He is being held in the Covington County Jail on a $36,000 bond.
