Pleasant Home’s baseball team fell 6-2 to Paxton at Crum Foshee Field in Andalusia on Monday night.

Hunter Odom pitched seven innings and struck out 10 in the loss.

Hunter Weaver, John Newby, Jeffrey Slaughter and Odom went 1-for-3 each to tally the hits for the Eagles.

The Eagles will visit Sweet Water on Friday for the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Class 1A state playoffs for the first round.

Games are the best 2-out-of-3 series. Friday will be a doubleheader, and Saturday will hold the if necessary game, in case both teams split the first day.
