Opp’s Lady Bobcats are ranked No. 10 in Class 3A in this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Association poll that was released today.

The Lady Bobcats (22-7) edged Luverne 2-1 on Tuesday night, and beat Ariton to win the Lady Purple Cats’ invitational tournament in the champsionhip.

Opp will play in Pleasant Home’s annual softball tournament today, starting with Flomaton at 6:30 p.m. in pool play.

Pleasant Home (15-6) is still No. 9 in this week’s poll, after dropping to 3A seventh-ranked Geneva 2-0 on Monday night.

Andalusia, Opp and Pleasant Home were nominated, but not ranked in the baseball rankings this week.

The Bulldogs, Bobcats and Eagles have secured berths in this year’s state playoffs, which begin April 20.
