Lady Bobcats look for area wins

Opp will play with its “back to the wall” tonight in an area softball contest against Pike County at OHS.
The Lady Bobcats enter tonight’s contest 15-7 overall, and 1-2 in Class 3A, Area 2. OHS beat PCHS once before in area action. PCHS is the only team in the area they have beaten.
“We’ll have to win them all to have a chance (at the post season),” OHS coach Jimmy Reeves said.
On Tuesday night, the Lady Bobcats fell to Geneva 9-2 in a game where they gave up eight runs in the first inning, all with two outs on the board.
“We just fell apart,” Reeves said about the loss to the Lady Panthers. “After that, we played a great game. That’s been our pattern.
“We tend to have one inning where we give up three or four runs, and then have a good game afterward,” he said. “That’s a bad habit we have to break.”
Affer their area matchup against Pike County, the Lady Bobcats’ next area games will take place on April 10 against Luverne, and April 19 against Geneva.
