On behalf of the staff, volunteers and board of directors of Sav-A-Life of Covington County, we would like to congratulate The Andalusia Star-News on winning first place in the Alabama Press Association for beset single ad over half page.

Your newspaper received the award for a Sav-A-Life of Covington County ad – our 2009 Mother’s Day ad – designed by Erin Johnson. This ad that celebrates mothers and celebrates life has become an annual project of our ministry. We would like to thank the area churches who help us sponsor this Mother’s Day message each year. We couldn’t publish the ad without them.

Sav-A-Life of Covington County, Inc. is a non-profit Christian ministry established 20 years ago by a group o interdenominational Christians. The ministry of Sav-A-Life is committed to helping women in crisis pregnancies and teaching life choices like abstinence to youth. We offer free pregnancy testing, woman to woman counseling, maternity and baby clothes, parenting classes, adoption information and post-abortion counseling.

The Pregnancy Resource Center is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information about Sav-A-Life, call 222-0644.
