Opp’s second area win over Pike County in baseball action Friday night came to a halt in the top of the second inning.

The Bulldogs had too many injured players and not enough reserves to force game officials to call the contest in Goshen.

Luckily, the Bobcats built a 6-0 lead in the top of the first inning to end up winning by the same score.

“I’ve never seen this in my 15 years of coaching,” OHS coach Michael Cassady said. “I’m disappointed that our kids didn’t get to play a complete game.”

Opp will be off until next Friday, when the Bobcats will face a tough Geneva team at GHS.

Russell Moseley struck out one and allowed one hit and one walk in 1.0 innings to earn the win.

T.J. Register, Ethan Davis, Moseley, Hunter Roeser (triple) and T.J. Bess had one hit each for the ninth-ranked Bobcats (8-2, 2-0 in Class 3A, Area 2).
