A 22-year-old Opp man is facing rape and sodomy charges after confessing to sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

Once it was discovered the alleged crimes occurred in the Babbie community, the case was turned over to the Covington County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators then interviewed the victim, who admitted to having consensual sex with the offender, and during a subsequent interview with Vaughn, he also admitted to the relationship.

Vaughn was booked into the Covington County Jail and released Monday on a $60,000 bond.
