In a little less than three weeks, residents and visitors will gather in Opp for the 52nd annual Rattlesnake Rodeo.

Entertainment has been set and the schedule has been announced, officials said Friday.

“I’m extremely excited about our talent,” Opp Mayor H.D. Edgar said. “With Travis Tritt and Gret-chen Wilson, I don’t think we could have searched far and wide and found any better talent for our rodeo. Everything is falling into place nicely.

“We have all of our volunteers lined up, and it’s going to be a busy weekend in Opp,” he said. “Right now, we are just sitting back and waiting on the rodeo to get here. We hope everyone will come out and take part in the weekend’s events, and we are delighted that our tickets are on sale.”

Gates open Fri., March 30, at 3 p.m.

Headliners will be Travis Tritt on Friday night and Gretchen Wilson on Saturday night.

Tickets are on sale now, or can be purchased at the gate.

A two-day pass is $30 and includes all concerts for the March 30 and March 31 event.

A one-day pass is $20 for Friday, and Saturday the pass is $10 before 3 p.m. and $20 after 3 p.m.

On Fri., March 30, the schedule is as follows:

• Gates open at 3 p.m.

• 3:30 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. – Southern Tradition;

• 4:40 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. – Vintage Gray;

• 5:15 p.m. until 5:55 p.m. – snake show;

• 6 p.m. until 6:10 p.m. – opening ceremonies;

• 6:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. – Skyler Foster Band;

• 8 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. – Travis Tritt

Sat., March 31

• Gates open at 8 a.m.

• 9 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. – opening ceremony, with welcome from Mayor H.D. Edgar;

• 9:15 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. – Taylor Weeks;

• 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. – snake race (first heat) and show;

• 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. – special guests – mayor and National Anthem;

• 12:30 p.m. until- 1:15 p.m. Snake Race (second heat) and show;

• 2:20 p.m. until 2:50 p.m. – Holly Helms;

• 2:50 p.m. until 4:25 p.m. – snake race (third heat) and snake show and championship snake race; karaoke, greasy pole and buck dance;

• 4:30 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. – Faith Jackson Band;

• 6:05 p.m. until 7:20 p.m. – Relunctant Saints;

• 8 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. – Gretchen Wilson
