Locals can just make a day of the events happening around Andalusia today.

First, a book signing for “A Prayer for Cola” will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Brooks’ Hardware.

Then, doors will open at the Kiwanis Center at noon for the annual Meredith’s Miracle’s Cookies with Characters. The show will begin at 1:15 p.m.

Tickets are $5 each and include admission to see more than 45 characters and Chrissie Schubert cookies.

Also, the Miss Middleusia will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the LBW Community College Dixon Center. Admission is $5.
