Jenny Morris

Jenny Blocker Morris, 65, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Fri., July 3, 2009, at her home. She was born in Andalusia, and had lived in Panama City for the last 45 years. Jenny retired as a dispatcher at the Panama City Police Department after 33 years. While at the PCPD, she taught standards and communication training. She was a member of the Gulf Coast Women’s Club, and loved sewing and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Larry E. Morris; her parents Luther and Mary Blocker; and three brothers, Durwood, Earl, and Herman Blocker.
Survivors include her son, Steve Walker (Jenna) of Hendersonville, Texas; her daughter, Jenny Rowell (Randy) of Southport; three brothers, Dwight Blocker (Debbie) of Marianna, William Blocker (Dianne) and Mike Blocker (Dianne), all of Andalusia; her sisters, Sandra Morris of Callaway, Jo Davis (Eddie) of Cottondale, Fla., and Connie Hanley of Andalusia; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Rowell and Brittany Walker; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Lucy and Sadie.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Mon., July 6, 2009, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Ramsey officiating. Entombment followed at the Raintree Mausoleum, Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Morris’ nephews served as her pallbearers.
