Northview made two free throws with 3.7 seconds left in the game to edge Andalusia 69-67 in Dothan on Friday night.

“I’m disappointed in the defense,” AHS coach Richard Robertson said. “Anytime you score 60 points, you’re supposed to win.”

Robertson said the Bulldogs got the tip and made a turn over to start the game.

“We got down as much as 10, and fought back to tie it up and go up by two,” he said. “Then, we turned the ball over later and they go up by five points, and we cut it to two and three points.

“We had a chance, and missed one,” he said. “We made mistake after mistake, but we played a lot harder than we’ve been playing.”

Andalusia’s Jacard Townsend led with 27 points; Niguel Jones had 18 points; and Joe Flowers had 12 points.

In girls action, the Lady Bulldogs won 67-49 over Northview.

Alexis Horton led AHS with 22 points; Alison Daniels had 18 points; and Shi’Amber Townsend had 17 points.

The Lady Bulldogs (21-2) won their 19th straight ball game.
