Opp's win against Andalusia in the Class 4A, Area 2 Volleyball Tournament earned the right to host the Class 4A, Regional A Tournament on Saturday.

The double-elimination tournament will use a best two-out-of-three games format. No rally scoring may be used at the Regional A Tournament as mandated by the Alabama High School Athletic Association.

The tournament will be played in the Opp High School Gymnasium with the first two matches of the day set to begin at 9 a.m.

The Area 1 Champion UMS-Wright squad will face the Area 3 Runner-up Daleville on court one at 9 a.m. in one of the first matches of the tournament.

The Area 2 Runner-up Andalusia Lady Bulldogs will face Area 4 Champion Geneva in the other 9 a.m. match on court two.

The second pair of matches are set to begin at 10 a.m. with the Area 2 Champion Opp Lady Bobcats going up against the Area 4 Runner-up Ashford Lady Yellow Jackets.

Gulf Shores, the Area 1 Runner-up, will play Dale County, the Area 3 Champion, in the other 10 a.m. match on Saturday.

The double-elimination tournament continues throughout the day with the Regional A Championship Match set to take place at 4 p.m.

If the team out of the loser's bracket wins the first championship match, a second and deciding match is slated to be played at approximately 5 p.m.

The winner and runner-up of the Class 4A, Regional A Tournament will advance to the Class 4A State Tournament set to be held at the Pelham Civic Center in Pelham beginning on Thursday, Oct. 31.
