One game remains for the Andalusia Bulldogs and the Opp Bobcats as the 2002 high school football regular season comes to a close Friday night.
The senior members of the Bulldogs and Bobcats are spending this week preparing for the final game of their high school careers.
Andalusia senior Graham Seale said when he thinks about it the thought of preparing for his final game is a little depressing.
"It's kind of sad, but we don't have anything to lose," Seale said about preparing for the Opp game. "And, they're coming to our house."
Andalusia senior running back Richard Justice said the Bulldogs will win the final game of 2002.
"I want to play it, but in a way I don't because I know it's my last game as a Bulldog," Justice said.
When asked if the Bulldogs would win, Justice said, "Oh yeah. We're going to win.
"It's going to be the most important game of our senior year," Justice added.
Andalusia senior Durrell Rawls agreed with Justice.
"It's very important that we win," Rawls said. "I'm very anxious. I'm ready to play, but then I don't want to play because it is the last game.
"It feels like it will be the most important day of my life because I will play my last game against the Opp Bobacts," he added.
Opp senior Lane Fuller said he is going all out against Andalusia.
"Just with it being my last game, I'm going to play my heart out and give my all," Fuller said. "It's all about pride."
Opp senior Langdon Stanley said the game is big because of the rivalry.
"I play Andalusia in every sport, so it's more of a personal game for me.
"It's a real big rivalry and it's been a long time since we beat Andalusia," he added. "I've never beaten Andalusia as a football player and I want to make this the first time."
Opp senior Travis Henderson said it is going to be a difficult game emotionally and one he wants to win.
Opp senior Brad Barton said the game against Andalusia is always big, but especially this season.
"It's always a big rivalry and seeing it's our last high school game it's big," Barton said. "You just have to leave it all on the field."
Opp senior Marquez Henderson summed up the sentiments of the seniors and all of the players best.
"I just want to get a win," Henderson said.
