The Straughn boys varsity and B-teams swept Kinston on the road Monday night.

The varsity boys won 52-37, while the B-team picked up a season-ending 64-17 victory.

Jacob Bybee led the varsity boys with 17 points and Caleb Cochran added 13 points and nine rebounds.

The Tigers enter the Class 3A, Area 3 tournament on Friday with a 10-12 (the third consecutive season with wins in double figures) record at the Jackson Steele Community Center in White Hall at Central-Hayneville.

Straughn will face Calhoun at 5 p.m.

Avery Driver led the B-team with 24 points and Jasper Bowden and Hobie Hughes added 13 points apiece.
