Mrs. Betty Moore Lawson, 97, of Andalusia, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 1, 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Kevin Wilburn officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation was on Friday, Jan. 31, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home and at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

Mrs. Lawson was a former member of the Glory Singers of First Baptist Church and a volunteer at Andalusia Hospital for several years. She was also a former member of Andalusia BPW and served as president in 1992 when she was named Woman of the Year. She was an active member of First Baptist Church for over 60 years and traveled to Ukraine on a mission trip.

She is survived by her son, Donald Keith Wiggins of Andalusia; a daughter, Faye W. Meadows of Wetumpka; granddaughter, Brandi C. (Ryan) Little of Wetumpka; two great-grandsons, Cameron Little and Taylor Little; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Robert B. Wiggins, and her second husband, Donald W. Lawson.

Pallbearers were Robert Cremer, Jerome Parker, Ziba Anderson, Neil Dansby, Cameron Little, and Taylor Little.

Honorary pallbearers were the Glory Singers of FBC and the Griffin Sunday School Class of FBC.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital or the First Baptist Church of Andalusia.
