APD makes arrest while executing search warrant

Andalusia police arrested 25-year-old Ansar Allah Lane after executing a search warrant Friday at a home at the Andalusia Estates apartment complex. While executing the search warrant, police came in contact with Lane, for whom they had warrants.

During the search, officers found marijuana and methamphetamine.

Police charged Lane with two counts of unlawful distribution, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana first degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Lane is being held on a $626,000 bond.

Andalusia Police Chief Paul Hudson said additional arrests are expected.
