Kay Marie Commerton passed away Dec. 20, 2024 in Opp.

Mrs. Commerton was born on Jan. 10, 1956 to Edward and Melva Fowler. She was an avid Alabama football fan.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Edward and Melva Ward Fowler, and a brother, David Jay Fowler.

She is survived by her children, Kyle (Santanna) Whitson and Lacy Simms; grandchildren, Kelsey Whitson, Haley Warmack, Chris Lawrence, Christan Simms, Alaina Simms, and Melania Simms; special cousin, Lori (David) Windham; brother, Ronald Edward Fowler; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
