The Andalusia Police Department has made one arrest and has warrants for a second suspect in a domestic violence incident that occurred early on the morning of Dec. 9.
On that Monday morning, the APD responded to a report of a shooting incident in the 900 block of Snowden Drive at Westhaven Apartments at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Police Chief Paul Hudson said there was one victim who was transferred to a hospital in Florida with non-life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds in “an isolated domestic incident.”
On Dec. 10, APD charged James Montae Kevin McPherson Thigpen, 19, whose residence of record is Fort Deposit, with assault first, burglary first, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and domestic violence third. His bond was set at $355,000.
They also have obtained warrants for, and seek the public’s help in locating, Ken’terrias McDonald, whose legal address also is Fort Deposit.
The APD has active warrants for McDonald for assault first, burglary first, and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Anyone with information about McDonald’s location is asked to call the APD at 334-222-1155.
