The City of Opp and the Opp Utilities Board have received reports of scammers calling residents, claiming to need credit or debit card information to apply payments to their light bill.

Please be aware Opp Utilities or any city office will never call you to ask for your payment information.

If you receive such a call, do not provide any personal or financial details. Hang up immediately and report the incident to the appropriate authorities.
