The Andalusia Police Department responded to two domestic calls Monday morning with one of those resulting in a person wounded by gunfire and in the second a person was cut with a knife.

Officers first responded to a shooting at Westhaven Apartments at approximately 5:30 a.m. Upon arriving on the scene, police found one victim who had sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transferred to a Florida hospital for treatment.

Police were then called to a domestic situation where someone was cut with a knife. The injury was not life-threatening.

Police Chief Paul Hudson said arrests are expected in both incidents.
