The Opp High School Varsity Cheerleaders have solidified their legacy as a powerhouse program, bringing home their 15th AHSAA State Title on Tuesday, Nov. 19. This victory marks nine consecutive years of at least one state championship for the Bobcats, showcasing their unparalleled commitment and skill on the mat.
Led by an extraordinary group of seniors—Maddie Barnes, Sophie Donaldson, Elizabeth Kyser, Abigail Nawlin, Camryn Perry, and Jaycee Williams—this year’s team has already made its mark as one of the best in the nation. The senior class boasts an impressive record, with seven AHSAA titles and six national titles under their belts, a testament to years of hard work and dedication.
“This program thrives on its relentless effort and the unwavering support from our community,” the senior cheerleaders shared. “We are grateful for the encouragement we receive throughout the school year.”
The team’s focus now shifts to High School Nationals, set to take place February 7-10 in Orlando, Florida. With practices intensifying, the cheerleaders aim to add another national title to their storied history.
The Opp community couldn’t be prouder of this talented group, whose achievements continue to inspire young athletes to reach for greatness.
