The Covington County Commission has announced the closure of a bridge located on Indian Creek Road (CR 47) over Indian Creek, effective Dec. 2.

According to county officials, the closure is necessary to replace the bridge and ensure the safety of the traveling public. The tentative timeline for re-opening the bridge is May 2, 2025.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure,” officials said in a statement.
