Amelia Stokes Lindsey, 81, of Gantt passed away, surrounded by her children, on Nov. 21, 2024.

Funeral services will be on Monday, Nov. 25, 11 a.m., at Cedar Grove Church of Christ. The congregational singing will be led by Roddy Thomasson. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Flowers will be accepted by her family or memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Amelia Stokes Lindsey.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Pam Lindsey and Alan and Jennifer Lindsey; five grandchildren, Anna (Kyle) Harris, Trey (Blakely) Lindsey, Katie Lindsey, Abbie (Kaleb) Powell, and Audrey Lindsey; three great-grandchildren, Weston Harris, Scarlett Powell, and Wyatt Lindsey; her sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Jo Vinson, and Mittie (David) Knowles; a special friend and caregiver, Glenda Hurst.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jimmie Lindsey; brothers, George Stokes and Jimmy Stokes; sisters, Winifred Terry, Ann Thomasson, and Charlotte Bryant.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Lindsey, Alan Lindsey, Trey Lindsey, Kyle Harris, Kaleb Powell and Vince Vinson.
