Salvation Army kicks off Angel Tree program

With the holiday season fast approaching, the Salvation Army Angel Tree will offer Christmas assistance by helping local children from newborn to 12 years old in Covington County.
Salvation Army volunteers will be at the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce on Monday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Parents and/or guardians may call 334-445-3070 to make an appointment. Residents must reside in Butler, Dale, Coffee, Conecuh, Covington, and Escambia counties to qualify.
Copies of the following information must be brought to appointments:
- A state picture ID for yourself and birth certificates for each child
- Copies of all/any income including employment, unemployment, all Social Security award letters, child support, food stamps (SNAP letter), or any other source of income for the household
- Copies of custody papers showing that you are the guardian or custodial parent
- Copies of all bills paid in the household including rent or mortgage, phone bill, utilities, insurance, car payment, loan payments, and medical bills
