Christopher Wilard Jackson of Andalusia passed away on Oct. 29, 2024, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 1, 2 p.m., at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family received friends one hour prior to the services. Rev. Woody Jackson officiated and cremation followed.

Left to cherish his memory include: his wife Charla S. Jackson; son, Tyler Jackson (Makayla); daughter, Patricia Johnson (Cody), all of Andalusia; granddaughter, Maliyah Johnson; grandson, Hunter Johnson; mother, Wanda Wallace of Brooklyn; father, Jesse Jackson (Martha) of Damascus, Alabama; siblings, Jane Garner of Anniston, Alabama, Woody Jackson (Mary) of Damascus, and Pansy Mitchell (Michael) of Brewton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Johnson, in 2020.

Chris served 21 years in the Army National Guard. While stationed in Germany, he had three deployments to Desert Storm, 15 months in Iraq and one year in Afghanistan. He retired after 26 years with Shaw Industries. He was a volunteer fireman with the Carolina Volunteer Fire Department. He loved hunting, fishing, and Alabama football and was a great supporter of the Andalusia Bulldogs.
