Billy Joe “B.J.” Cook Jr. of Red Level passed away Oct. 21, 2024. He was 51.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m., at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Keahey Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Holcomb will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pigeon Creek Memorial Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rhett Cook, Hunter Weaver, Dusty Varner, Josh Blackburn, Josh Beverly, Brandon Rogers, Tyler Gomillion and Eric Hicks.
Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Amanda Harrelson Cook of Red Level; father, Billy Joe Cook Sr. of Red Level; sons, Billy Joe “Trey” Cook III (Brittany Cumbie) of Red Level, Madison Lane Cook (Ivy Adams) of Red Level, Brennan Lee Head (Christian Cook) of Red Level, Sierra Paige Robbins (Chase) of the Babbie community, Ivy Layne Hart (Robbie Pennington) of Opp; Tori Ann Hart of Red Level; sister, Gena Buckelew of Red Level; grandchildren, River Cook, Tucker Cook, Collins Head, Clark Head, Asher Cook, and Baeddan Scott.
B.J. was employed with PowerSouth. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and anything that placed him outdoors. He attended Loves Way Church in Georgiana and greatly loved his family, friends and God.
