The Opp and Covington County Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 2024 Farm City Banquet and celebrate the outstanding contributions of the local agricultural community on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m.

This year’s banquet will take place at the Opp First Baptist Church and will feature the presentation of several prestigious awards, including the Poultry Farmer of the Year, Cattle Farmer of the Year, Row Crop Farmer of the Year, Future Farmer of the Year, and Empowering Women Award.

The Future Farmer of the Year will also receive a scholarship as part of the Chamber’s commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders in agriculture. All proceeds from ticket sales will directly fund this scholarship, helping local students pursue their educational and professional goals.

Tickets for the banquet are $20 and can be purchased at the Opp Chamber office, located on Covington Avenue.

This annual event is a highlight for the Opp community, honoring the dedication, hard work, and innovation of the area’s farmers and agricultural leaders.
