LBW holds annual Constitution Day event

LBW Community College hosted a Constitution Day event in the Martha and Solon Dixon Center for the Performing Arts with keynote speaker Col. Jason Woodward on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
In celebration of the signing of the United States Constitution, the LBW Business, IT and Social Science department hosted a program on campus. In conjunction, the SGA sponsored the voter registration with the Covington County Board of Registrars.
“Today, we not only commemorate the creation of the framework of the government, but we also reflect on its continuous impact on the lives and the role it plays in shaping our democracy,” LBWCC President Dr. Brock Kelley said.
Col. Woodward, 1st AB Commander, UAACE (Fort Novosel) presented on what the U.S. Constitution means to him and how it impacts the lives and governance of the citizens of our nation. He also held a discussion with student leaders.
