Opp (1-0, 0-0 4A Region 2) will look to keep momentum on its side with a trip to New Brockton (0-2, 0-0) in the first region contest of the year on Friday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m.

This will be the fifth straight meeting between the two teams since 2020. The Bobcats hold a 3-1 series lead over the Gamecocks.

Last week, Opp began the regular season with a 34-7 home win against Northview of Florida. New Brockton came up just short to Slocomb on the road in an offensive shootout, 40-34.

The Gamecocks squeaked past the Bobcats last year, 19-14.
